Kulturhaus Spandau

The Kulturhaus Spandau embodies the borough’s cultural variety. Besides a diverse mix of events such as concerts, theatre, cabaret and comedy as well as a children’s programme, the Kulturhaus also has a cinema, the Café & Bistro Unvernunft and exhibitions in the Galerie Kulturhaus. Concerts requiring a larger setting are presented in the Gothic Hall of the Citadel.

Open-air stage at the Citadel

From May to September the Kulturhaus Spandau organises its summer programme in the charming woodland atmosphere of the open-air stage at the Citadel. Since 1998 a wide range of concerts, theatre, musicals and shows have been presented here as evening events. On Sunday mornings, local orchestras, ensembles and choirs play in the “Free and Outdoors” series. For families, schools and pre-schoolers there are children’s concerts and theatre in cooperation with Berliner Kindertheater e.V. und Kindermusiktheater e.V.

The Kulturhaus Spandau and the open-air stage at the Citadel are cultural institutions of Spandau borough council. The program is run in cooperation with MAGMA Theater Spandau e.V.
