This long-distance cycle route starts in Berlin at the Brandenburg Gate and ends 630 kilometres away in the Danish capital Copenhagen.

The first stage of the well-signposted route includes a short stretch through northern Spandau. Crossing the Wasserstadtbrücke, the route continues along the river Havel until it crosses the border to Brandenburg in Spandauer Forst. You can stop for a breather after the first stage of the tour at the Bürgerablage bathing area.

But if you want to carry on cycling in Spandau, you can either follow the Havel Cycle Trail south to the old town or on to the harbour at Kladow, or experience Spandau’s divided past along the Berlin Wall Trail.

Here are a selection of places along the route in Spandau.
