At the Havelland country and farmers’ market in the middle of Spandau’s old town, you can find fruit and vegetables, herbs, fresh bread and pastries, meat and sausages, as well as leather, basketry and other specialities. There are various special days throughout the seasons, starting with asparagus day in early summer. Together with the KlimaWerkstatt Spandau, an initiative called “Fruit, vegetables, flowers – everything without bags” has been launched with the aim of eliminating plastic bags from the market.

Spandau weekly market

The Spandau weekly market, held in front of the town hall on Wednesdays and Saturdays, also has plenty of delights on offer. After a relaxed and pleasant shop, you can fortify yourself at one of the many snack bars at the market.
