If you are looking for countryside and waterways, the tour of the south of Spandau is ideal, and a wonderful way to relax, whether it’s at the Rieselfelder, the various farms or in the gardens of Dr. Max Fraenkel and Neukladow.

You can also drop in at the Military History Museum and admire helicopters and fighter planes as you cycle around the huge site. A long section of the route leads along the river Havel.

Route

  • Starting at Kladow harbour on Imchenallee, go up the hill to the junction of Sakrower Kirchweg
  • Turn left into Sakrower Kirchweg and follow it until the junction with Lüdickeweg

Route
  • Go back up Lüdickeweg towards Sakrower Landstraße
  • Turn right onto Sakrower Landstraße
  • Turn left behind the barracks into Hottengrundweg and follow it all the way until the end, then turn right onto Selbitzer Straße
  • Turn left at the junction with Mannhardtweg, which becomes Straße 133, then turn right onto Verlängerte Uferpromenade, which runs alongside the lake

Bundeswehr Military History Museum

Route
  • Cross Ritterfelddamm and continue straight ahead along Am Flugplatz Gatow until you come to the Military History Museum

Rieselfelder Karolinenhöhe

Potsdamer Chaussee/Maximilian-Kolbe-Straße, 13593 Berlin

Route
  • At the exit of the Military History Museum, turn right onto a small path and follow it to the Habichtswald settlement
  • Continue straight ahead onto Außenweg, which leads directly to the cycle path along the B2
  • Behind the cemetery, turn right onto the Rieselfelder and follow the path until you reach a fork
  • Take the right fork and carry on past the riding school
  • Turn right behind the riding school and then left onto Gatower Straße
