Between the old town and the citadel is the oldest catholic church in Spandau. In addition to church services, St. Marienkirche is also used for cultural events.

At the end of Kolk street is a small square, where you will see the church of St. Marien am Behnitz on the right. The foundation stone was laid in 1847. In the early 2000s the privately owned church was extensively restored.

Mass is held twice a week in the church, which is a listed building. If you’re interested in its history and the magnificently restored interior and paintings, you can visit the church.

St. Marienkirche is now also a popular venue for readings and concerts.
