Historic town centre and shopping paradise
Where the Spree and Havel rivers meet, Lindenufer is an extensive promenade leading from the Charlottenbrücke to the Juliusturmbrücke below the old town. Here you can stroll along the waterfront and cycle on designated paths. It’s the ideal starting point for a trip to the old town or a detour to the Citadel and the lock.
But it’s also just the right place if you want to take to the water. Various boat tours from the Lüdicke, Hartmut Triebler and the Stern- und Kreis Schifffahrt lines start from the landing stage at Lindenufer.
On one weekend during the summer, Spandau’s Havel Festival takes place on the promenade, attracting thousands of visitors.
Opposite the junction with Kammerstraße is the memorial to Spandau’s murdered and deported Jewish citizens. The synagogue destroyed during the November 1938 pogrom was situated directly nearby.
